About Shanghai and China
Shanghai is a very lively, interesting, saturated and pleasant city, home to over 24 million people, both locals and expats. It lies on the East Coast of China. The city is best known for its high economic productivity as the commercial and financial center of China. Its landscape is split in two by the Huangpu River, with Puxi to the west and Pudong on the east. There are many cultural areas around Shanghai, including areas such as Yu Garden, Tianzifang, and the French Concession. Aside from tourism, there are plenty of shopping areas including Huaihai Road, Nanjing Road, and the malls in Lujiazui.
